Changing from painting with pure oils to oil and medium was a wonderful challenge. Well suited to painting children and the mother and child themes, I am able to get very soft, gentle finishes which express my emotional attachment to my subjects beautifully .
Although I enjoy almost any subject, children must be said to be my favourite . I love the promise held , not yet discovered , the potential energy in children . Their ability to shine and their wonder with a world yet undiscovered . They have the ability to take pleasure in the most mundane wonderful things, I love their pure focused presence.
