I think it is fair to say my subjects for painting choose me, I love painting people, the many colours and translucency of skin. There is a deep emotional connection with the people I paint, I love the movement and also the stillness, the way light catches the figure all work to create a narrative with my perceptions of the world inside and around me, a journey of self discovery.
